Returns and Exchanges Policy

1. Introduction
We want you to be happy with every Siddhakala Vedang product you receive. This Policy explains when a product can be returned or exchanged, and how to raise a request. It applies to Orders placed on https://siddhakalavedang.com and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
Order cancellations and refund timelines are covered in our separate Cancellation and Refund Policy.
2. Important Note on Hygiene
Our products are Ayurvedic skincare and haircare items applied directly to the skin and hair. For reasons of hygiene, safety, and product integrity, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of products that have been opened, used, or whose seal has been broken, except where the product is damaged, defective, expired, or incorrect as described below.
3. When You Can Return or Exchange a Product
You may raise a return or exchange request if any of the following applies:
- Damaged in transit: the product leaked, broke, or was damaged before it reached you.
- Defective product: the product has a manufacturing defect, such as a faulty pump or cap.
- Wrong product delivered: you received an item different from what you ordered.
- Missing item: an item listed on your invoice is missing from the parcel.
- Expired or near-expiry product: the product delivered is past its expiry date or has an unreasonably short shelf life remaining.
4. Time Limit for Raising a Request
- Requests must be raised within 7 days of delivery.
- For damaged, leaking, or tampered parcels, please inform us within 48 hours of delivery so that we can file a claim with our courier partner in time.
- Requests raised after these windows may not be accepted.
5. What We Cannot Accept
We are unable to accept returns or exchanges in the following cases:
- Products that have been opened, used, or partly consumed, unless damaged, defective, expired, or incorrect.
- Products returned without their original packaging, box, labels, seals, or free gifts and accessories that came with them.
- Products damaged due to misuse, incorrect storage, or exposure to heat, moisture, or direct sunlight after delivery.
- Requests raised after the time limits in Section 4.
- Products purchased under a clearance sale, combo offer, or promotion expressly marked "non-returnable" on the product page.
- Minor variations in colour, aroma, texture, or consistency, which are natural for Ayurvedic and herbal formulations made from natural ingredients.
- Dissatisfaction with results, where the product itself is not defective. Individual results vary with skin type, hair type, and duration of use.
- Allergic reactions where a patch test was not carried out as recommended on the label. If you do experience a reaction, please stop using the product and write to us — we will look at your case sympathetically.
6. How to Raise a Return or Exchange Request

- Please include:
- Your order number and registered name.
- A clear description of the issue.
- Photographs of the product, the batch and expiry details, the outer packaging, and the shipping label.
- An unboxing video, if available. This is strongly recommended for damaged, missing, or wrong-item claims.
- Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days.
- If your request is approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup where our courier partner services your pin code. Where reverse pickup is not available, we will ask you to self-ship the product to our address and will reimburse reasonable courier charges on submission of the receipt.
Please do not send any product back to us before your request has been approved in writing. Unapproved returns may not be accepted or refunded.
7. Condition of Returned Products
Products must be returned:
- Unused and, unless the complaint is about damage or a defect, with the seal intact.
- In their original packaging, with all labels, boxes, inserts, and free items included.
- Along with the original invoice or a copy of it.
We inspect every returned product on receipt. If it does not meet these conditions, we may decline the return and send the product back to you at your cost.
8. Exchanges
- Where the same product is in stock, we will send a replacement at no extra charge once your request is approved and, where applicable, the original product is received and inspected.
- If the same product is out of stock, you may choose either an alternative product of equal value or a refund.
- Replacements are usually dispatched within 2 to 4 business days of approval or of receiving the returned item, and follow the timelines in our Shipping Policy.
- Exchanges are permitted once per order item.
9. Refunds
Where a refund is agreed instead of an exchange, it will be processed in accordance with our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which sets out refund methods and timelines.
